Dr. Tiana Williams
Tiana Williams, Psych. D., APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Coordinator at Northwestern State University of Louisiana and holds the rank of Assistant Professor. As Coordinator of this Nurse Practitioner concentration, Dr. Williams oversees clinical students in this specialty group by providing guidance in clinic settings and course delivery through an online platform. Dr. Williams has taught in the MSN program since the Summer of 2020.
Dr. Williams completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998 at Grambling State University. After working in women's health / med-surg / pediatrics, she returned to school to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing in 2003. She later returned to her studies to obtain two post master's certifications and a doctorate. After being a preceptor and working as a clinical instructor, Dr. Williams decided to teach at Northwestern State University.
