Biography
Dr. Williams is the Program Coordinator for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Northwestern State University and holds the rank of Assistant Professor of Nursing. Dr. Williams has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2013 in a Neurosurgery clinic in central Louisiana. In 2018, she joined the faculty at NSU full time, while continuing to practice as an FNP in Neurosurgery one day per week. Dr. Williams is a current member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received her ADN from Louisiana State University at Alexandria in 2007, BSN from NSU in 2009, MSN from NSU in 2013, and DNP from SELU in 2022. Dr. Williams' clinical nursing background is in Intensive care, Post-Anesthesia care, and home health care.
