Biography

SherriLynn Voebel...Northwestern State University of Louisiana, Liaison to the College of Nursing and Allied Health

Management and leadership roles within education and private industry; strong technical background with excellent analytical skills. Works well in teams or unsupervised....Provides a niche skill set within Intellectual Property: research, data management, litigation support, competitive intelligence, patent infringement analysis, identifying in-licensing and out licensing opportunities and portfolio landscaping (life science , medical device and pharma). Fluent in Microsoft Power-Point, Excel and Webex.  Advanced classes in command language searching and data visualization.

Ms Voebel is active in the Medical Library Association (MLA), the Special Library Association (SLA)  and the Patent Information User Group (PIUG).  She is a past Membership Chair of PIUG and currently serves on several committees within SLA and PIUG, She attends annual conferences and advanced workshops yearly.

While her family settled in South Louisiana in 1851, Ms. Voebel was raised in Texas and worked in the chemistry area for many years prior to returning for her Master's in Library & Information Science at LSU.  She has lived in two other countries:  Japan and the United Arab Emirates.  When she is not sleuthing information, Ms. Voebel spends time with her Seal Point Siamese Cat, Keiko-San.  She enjoys gardening, cooking, international travel, learning about other cultures, antiquing and horses.
