Biography

Susan Steele-Moses, DNS, RN is the CONSAH Research Statistician at Northwestern Louisiana University and holds the rank of Associate Professor.  She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SLU in 1988, her Master of Nursing from LSUMC in 1990, and her Doctor of Nursing Science from LSUHSC in 2004. She completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Indiana University~Walther Cancer Center, Indianapolis, IN under the direction of Dr. Victoria Champion. Dr. Steele-Moses has taught research methods and biostatistics since 2004. Her program of research predominately uses quantitative designs, but she also works in the qualitative domain. Her current research focuses on the use of Mindfulness to Decrease Stress and Anxiety Among Doctoral Nursing Students.  She has published extensively and presented Regionally, Nationally, and Internationally. Dr. Steele-Moses is the 23-25 recipient of the Ray P. Oden Endowment. Dr. Steele-Moses's clinical specialization is in Adult Health, specifically Hematology-Oncology.
