Biography

John Rivoire, MSN, RN, teaches as a full-time assistant professor in the ASN program. Mr. Rivoire has been a registered nurse since 1988.  He has worked in both the traditional BSN and LPN to ASN programs.  He has teaching experience at ULM and NSU. Mr. Rivoire is a Sigma Theta Tau alumnus.

Mr. Rivoire worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Northeast Louisiana until being activated as an Air Force Reservist after 911. After three years of active duty, he returned and has worked in various healthcare leadership roles. He retired as CEO of Louisiana Extended Care Hospital in August of 2023 to return to NSU as an Assistant Professor.
