Dr. Thomas W. Reynolds, Jr., is Interim Director of the Louisiana Scholars’ College, the state’s designated selective admissions honors college, and Associate Professor of English in the Department of English, Foreign Languages, and Cultural Studies at Northwestern State University. His educational background includes a B.A. in English and a B.A. in history from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, an M.A. in English (Writing and Linguistics) from NSU, and a Ph.D. in English (Rhetoric, Linguistics, and American Literatures) from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Dr. Reynolds has worked as a sports journalist, professional writer and editor, an online course designer, and a high school instructor, and he now teaches English at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is past president of the NSU Faculty Senate, former Writing Program Administrator, and is a member of the international English honor society, Sigma Tau Delta, and the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi. Dr. Reynolds has an active program of research related to the multiple intersections between writing, technology, and teaching.
