Biography
Mrs. Mount is a graduate of Northwestern State University's Social Work Department. She earned her MSW from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2004 She joined the Social Work faculty at Northwestern State University in August 2019 as a half time Assistant Professor. In January 2021 she accepted the position in the Department of Social Work as Title IVE Coordinator/Assistant Professor.
Prior to coming to NSU Mrs. Mount had varied experiences working with children and families. She is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. A majority of her career has been spent working with survivors of sexual trauma and the families of survivors in settings including mental and behavioral health , sexual assault response centers, and private practice.
