Biography
I am the Interim Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern State University. I joined the faculty of Northwestern State in 2006 as an Assistant professor of Biology. I served as Director of the School of Biological and Physical Sciences for four years and still serve as a Professor for that academic unit. My educational background includes a B.S. in Biology from University of Southwestern Louisiana, a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine, and post-doctoral fellowships at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University Medical Center. I teach a variety of biology courses at Northwestern State (including Cell Biology and Virology) and serve as the faculty sponsor for the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honors Society. I am passionate about student and faculty engagement and am dedicated to improving the sciences at Northwestern State!
