Biography

Hi! My name is Lauren Leger, and I am one of the two Registered Veterinary Technicians/Technologists for the Veterinary Technology Program at Northwestern State University. After graduating from Northwestern State earning both a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Veterinary Technology and an A.D. in Veterinary Technology, I became part of the veterinary teaching staff here shortly after. In the Fall of 2015, I joined the instructors of the Veterinary Technology Program to further my career in the pursuit of teaching others about their future profession in Vet Med. I decided to further my education by earning a Master of Education degree from NSU in December of 2019. My passion for this profession shines through my work as I put my best foot forward in educating the students to become some of the most skilled technicians in the field. While my field of work is very diverse, I enjoy spending my weekends working at the Animal Emergency Clinic where I can extend my care and knowledge towards animals on their worst days. Overall, I am dedicated to producing well-trained individuals to enter the world of Veterinary Medicine!
