Biography

I am the Facilitator of Nursing and Allied Health on the Natchitoches campus. My position allows me to have a positive impact on students by being the liaison between them and their advisors and instructors. I do many tasks in my position that I enjoy, the one I enjoy the most is facilitating the TEAS exam each semester.  I have been working with Nursing students here at NSU since 2019.  I love seeing that NSU is producing so many strong nurses who are going out into our community and surrounding communities to make a difference in healthcare.  I also enjoy being able to work with the best faculty and staff around. I love the teamwork that we have going on here on our beautiful campus.

Before my employment here I was a billing supervisor for a clinical laboratory for 16 years, I gained a lot of knowledge and values there during that time and was able to bring skills here to help me in my position that I have had the pleasure to be in since my employment here.

During my time away from work I enjoy my loving family. I have a husband and 3 children. Two of the children are alumni here at Northwestern. My youngest is in 6th grade.

If you are interested in Nursing or Allied health please contact me today at johnsonste@nsula.edu.

I look forward to speaking to you.
