Biography

Dr. Jackson has 23 years of experience in nursing.  She worked as a Cath Lab nurse for 13 years at Christus. Her background also include, telemetry, med surg, and home health nursing. In May 2016, Dr. Jackson received her master’s degree in nursing from Northwestern State University.  She is a certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.  She graduated in December 2019 with her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from NSU. Dr. Jackson is employed as NSU Shreveport faculty and was recently appoint the position of 4th Level Coordinator.  She also teach Pathophysiology and 1st Level Clinical.  Dr. Jackson  served six years in the U.S. States Air Force Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1998.  In her spare time she enjoys cooking, traveling, family, dancing, teaching dance, and watching dance videos. Dr. Jackson has a sweet, precious 19 year old son named Isaiah.
