Biography

Jessica Fultz is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 10+ years of experience providing mental health services to individuals and families, with a focus on identity development in young adults, adoption,  and burnout recovery in helping professionals. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Northwestern State, teaching Human Diversity, Generalist Practice with Individuals, Generalist Practice with Groups, and Personal Development and Self-Care. Prior to coming to NSU, she worked at the Indiana University School of Medicine where she provided mental health services to medical trainees and assisted in the development of mental health programming. She is trained in EMDR (Bill White, LCSW) and Mind-Body Skills through Georgetown University and The Institute for Integrative Health. She is a TAC (Training For Adoption Competence) Trainer providing Adoption Competent Education to licensed Mental Health Professionals throughout the state of Louisiana. She is married to a fellow social worker and is a mother to two amazing children through adoption.
