Biography

Jennifer Evans serves as the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Coordinator and an Assistant Professor at Northwestern State University. She brings extensive clinical experience and a strong commitment to student success and professional excellence in sonography education.

Mrs. Evans earned her Bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2005. She completed the Cardiovascular Sonography program at Southern Medical Corporation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, earning her cardiac and vascular ultrasound registries in 2006. She later completed her general sonography training and registry in 2011. In 2022, she earned a Master of Science in Radiologic Sciences from Northwestern State University.

Her professional background includes five years as a mobile ultrasound technologist serving Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Shreveport, as well as eleven years as a cardiovascular sonographer at Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists. This diverse clinical experience informs her teaching and leadership within the sonography program.

Mrs. Evans is married and has three sons. She lives in Stonewall, Louisiana, and is actively involved in her church, youth ministry, and North DeSoto youth sports. In her free time, she enjoys walking, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on her children at their sporting events.
