Biography
Myra (Michelle) DeBose, PhD, MSN,MSEd, CNEcl has served in numerous leadership roles throughout her 4 decades of service in nursing. She earned her undergraduate nursing degree at Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison Wisconsin with a Masters and Doctorate in Continuing and Vocational Education and a Masters of Science in Nursing Education. Her PhD examined sources of information African American women have about breast cancer.
Dr. DeBose research interest include educating underserved populations about health disparities and educating the next generation of nurse scholars.
Dr. DeBose is one of the 2022-2023 AACN ELAN (Elevating Leaders in Academic Nursing) fellows, 2022 Bronze Medal Winner of the Good Samaritan Foundation Excellence in
Nursing Award and Nominated for the Emma Josephine Loffelholz McMorris Spirituality Award. Dr. DeBose was selected to joined a team of colleagues to integrate the
National HIV curriculum into Health Professional Programs through HRSA-22-022 funding.
