Biography

Krislyn graduated with her ASN from LSUA in December 2015, immediately obtaining her RN to BSN from ULL in March of 2017. She has worked as an RN in every area of Maternal Child Nursing, including: NICU, Family Centered Maternity Care, Newborn Nursery, OBGYN & Post-Partum, Pediatrics and PICU. She continues to follow her true calling as a nurse by working at the bedside as a Pediatric ICU nurse at Ochsner LSU in Shreveport. 

She achieved her life-long dream of combining her two passions of teaching and nursing by obtaining her MSN in Maternal Child Nursing Education from NSU in December 2021 (Fork ‘em, Demons!) and has taught in both the ASN and BSN programs at NSU either as a full-time Assistant Professor of Nursing or adjunct faculty in the clinical setting since August 2021.  

She strives to assist her students in achieving their goals by demonstrating her personal passion for the profession, always challenging them to reach their highest potential, and providing a positive learning environment for them to excel in.
