Biography

Laura Aaron PhD, RT(R)(M)(QM) is the Graduate Coordinator for the School of Allied Health at Northwestern State University and holds the rank of Professor.  She completed her radiologic technology education at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana and then obtained her masters from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She completed her PhD in Educational Leadership and Research from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge Louisiana.  She has served as radiography program director and department head for the School of Allied Health at Northwestern State University (NSU).  During her time at NSU, she has had the opportunity to develop new programs—a masters program in radiologic sciences and a bachelor of applied science in allied health.  

Dr. Aaron has been very active in several radiologic sciences professional organizations including the ASRT, AEIRS, JRCERT, and her state society, LSRT.  Currently, she is serving as the Executive Editor for Radiologic Science & Education for AEIRS.  In 2018, she finished her seven year term for the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.  She has been named as a fellow of the ASRT and AEIRS.
