Biography

Dr. Campbell is a native of South Carolina and holds a B.S. in psychology from the University of South Carolina and an M. Ed. in Counseling from the Citadel. She earned a Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Kansas. Dr. Campbell has broad experience in the non-profit sector, having worked for over 25 years in educational, mental health, social service, and research settings. Since moving to Louisiana, she has worked as a researcher at Shriners' Hospitals for Children—Shreveport, a program monitor with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, Behavioral Health-Addiction Services, and LINCC program development and grants management at the Community Foundation of North Louisiana. Dr. Campbell is the Interim Chair of the Social Work Department, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work, and the Advisor for the NSU Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor Society.
