Experience: 42years Professional Nursing (RN) Medical Surgical Patient/Oncology Care; Developed Cas Management & indigent Medication Assistance Program at Ochner, M.D. Anderson, Methodist Willowbrook, and East Texas Medical Center hospitals.,18 years in Education & Research. Lead Magnet initiative for Houston Methodist Hospital to receive Magnet designation in 2013.

 

Leadership/Practice /Consultation: Held numerous positions in executive nursing roles:

Epidemiology Nurse (UT Tyler Medical Center), Director of Community Oncology Research (CCOP), Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist & Symptom Management Clinic (East Texas Medical, Tyler), Administrate Director Oncology/Psych/Case Management (LSU Shreveport), Clinical Director of Medical Oncology (M.D. Anderson Cancer Center), Associate Chief Nursing Officer (Methodist Willowbrook Hospital (Houston, Tx.)

 

World Travels and Collaboration: Hospital Almenica- Santiago, Chile – served as an ambassador for M.D. Anderson Cancer Center to enhance oncology nursing practice. Assisted the institution to connect with the Oncology Nursing Society so nurses could become certified in oncology nursing practice. Served as mentor/consultant to CNO at Centro Medico ABC Hospital to become Magnet designated. Currently serving on Haiti Foreign Mission for Lilly Grove MBC.
