Biography

Alice Blue is an Assistant Faculty in the Masters of Science in Nursing Program at Northwestern State University. Mrs. Blue joined the NSU Faculty in 2018.  

She is a two-time graduate of NSU's College of Nursing, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008, then a Masters of Science in Nursing in 2013. She is currently pursuing her terminal degree, Doctoral of Nursing Practice, through Southeastern Louisiana University. As an RN, she worked in the surgical intensive care unit at LSU-Oschner in Shreveport, LA. As a Nurse Practitioner, she continues to practice at a private clinic in Bossier City, LA. She also serves as a provider at MLK Health Center and Pharmacy. 

Mrs. Blue is passionate about the health and wellness of Louisiana citizens. She is actively involved in the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of numerous nursing associations including, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the National League of Nursing, and the Nurse Practitioner Association for Continuing Education.
