Biography
Nancy Alexander, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CNE is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Northwestern State University of Louisiana on the Shreveport campus. Dr. Alexander directs the didactic/clinical 4130/4131 (psychiatric nursing) component of the 4th level BSN curriculum. Dr. Alexander has taught in the ASN and BSN programs over the past 13 years at NSU.
Dr. Alexander completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1989 at Northwestern State University. Dr. Alexander earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University, in 1998, and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Alexander earned her DNP in 2018 at Northwestern State University. Dr. Alexander's clinical background includes Med/Surg, Telemetry, Day Surgery/PACU, outpatient Cardiopulmonary Rehab, Orthopedics/Rheumatology, Nephrology, and Psychiatric nursing.
